Yoshie Uematsu, the inner cook who solves the delta problem [Part 1]

Yoshie Uematsu / Culinary expert

A woman with a well-established sense of self and an aesthetic sense cultivated through her interactions with society.

We will spotlight someone who embodies the image of a woman that HÉRNI projects as its brand image.

This time, we spoke with cooking researcher Yoshie Uematsu.

Yoshie Uematsu is a cooking researcher who continues to propose everyday dishes that make use of seasonal ingredients.

Having been involved in growing vegetables in the fields for many years, he is particularly particular about materials, and even for the clothes he wears, he prefers natural materials such as cotton and silk.

"When we talk about food, clothing and shelter, clothing is so important that it comes before food.

Comfort and functionality are important when it comes to underwear, and HÉRNI was also attracted to the practicality of washable silk.

It's not itchy, doesn't cause static electricity, and has heat and moisture retention properties, so it's stress-free and I'm happy about that."

Uematsu's favorite item is the cotton silk No. 6 camisole.

"I call the V-neck opening of dresses and tops the "Delta Problem," but I don't want to look rugged, and I don't like lace because it looks too feminine, so it's difficult to choose what to wear underneath.

On the other hand, this camisole is made of cotton silk and cotton river lace, so the overall look is not too sweet and elegant.

I really like the washed-out feel."
