The Ultimate Hedonist: Cooking Expert Yoshie Uematsu [Part 2]

Yoshie Uematsu / Culinary expert

A woman with a well-established sense of self and an aesthetic sense cultivated through her interactions with society.

We will spotlight someone who embodies the image of a woman that HÉRNI projects as its brand image.

This is the second part of our interview with cooking expert Yoshie Uematsu.

Yoshie Uematsu is a cooking researcher who calls herself the "ultimate hedonist."

"I'm the type of person who can easily change my pace, so in order to relax and enjoy traveling on my days off, I'll stay up all night working and concentrate (laughs).

It's also important to take care of yourself so that you can have fun and feel good. For example, wearing your favorite clothes or HERNI underwear will lift your spirits."

Balancing work and child-rearing is busy, but if you decide to do it yourself, you can do even the most difficult things.

For Uematsu, rewards include travel, shopping, and delicious food.

"I've been away from travelling for the past few years, but I still feel happy just working in the fields or going out to the nearby mountains and fields.

I love plants, so just walking along the roadside looking at the flowers and plants puts me in a good mood."

On the day of the shoot, they made lemon chicken tagine.

Uematsu is also good at cooking dishes that evoke the scent of travel, but recently he has been thinking about the relationship between medicine and food.

"Because I'm healthy, I tend to overlook the fluctuations that are unique to women, but through my work proposing menus for postpartum care facilities, I've become more conscious of my age and physical condition.

I feel the importance of living life while taking care of myself."
